    Sorry.

Mine needs brakes, DSG in 20k, Timing belt in 30k, and I'm not at all sure what's going on with the transmission. I'm not touching any of those problems either.

I'm driving the replacement. A number of car makers have $0 down, 0% interest deals, so I took one of them up on it.

    Peace!!!!!

I just placed a factory order for a 2017 Subaru Impreza earlier this week and it would not arrive at dealership lot until late January 2017. I submitted my signed offer letter back to VW this morning and was told once they complete the review, they will send an e-mail notice to me to print the final/final offer letter and I can make appointment to turn in my Jetta within the next 90 days. I hope everything works out as planned.

Jetta TDI has been a good car for me and I am sad to part away but the buyback offer is too good to turn it down. Good luck to all.

I'm scheduled for 12/1 at the local dealership for the buyback on my 2014 SportWagen. We bought it when the 2004 Passat transmission died. In the end I revived the Passat so the 2014 ended up being a free loaner with a little extra in the deal. If I needed to replace it, I'd certainly just drive it until Aug 2018 for free. Hoping a lot of folks take advantage of that free lease option :)

Made appointment on Jan 24, 2017, hopefully by then my new Impreza will be arrived and I do not have to change the appointment. Surprised to see only Tuesday available for appointment at the dealership of my choice.

Cool. We're still waiting on the final quote and the notarization step.

Class action counsel has advised that VW form uses a notarization invalid in California. The proper form can be attached and used.

I just had my docs notarized in CA on Monday. Hope I don't have to do it again.

VW's dilatory tactics are quite frustrating, to say the least. We put in our paperwork the first day on September 19, 2016. They said it was inadequate on October 20, 2016. The resubmission was rejected on October 25, 2016. Finally, on November 2, 2016 I was finally notified it was sufficient. Website says we will hear within ten business days. This was Thursday November 17, 2016. Nothing comes. I call the toll free number and "Natalie" says it is "one month" and hangs up. I call back and respectfully request that they not hang up on me. They take the time to check. They say they are running behind. After checking our case, they promise we will hear by the end of business next Tuesday.

We shall see. Our claim is pretty straightforward -- we own the car outright.

Called during business hours [morning coffee time being here in CA on Pacific Standard Time]. Had to drill through menus and then waited about ten minutes each time.

Yes my husband is waiting as well after his submission was finally processed. It could take several days or 10 days. I'm schedule to return my car on 1/4. Also I found out VW has reps that will be onsite when returning the vehicle, and it seems limited days during the week. This the reason mine is in January.

Has anyone turned in their car? If so, how long did it take, what was the process, and any surprises?

Yeah, my documents were accepted on October 14 and I'm still waiting. I've called their phone number and am waiting on hold now. Maybe I can shake something loose by being the proverbial squeaky wheel (to mix my metaphors).
