    Dear friends,
I want to run my TDi better so I want to explore this control module adaptation. I log in with 12233 and gets some incomprehensible channels.
    Please look photos
    https://drive.google.com/folderview?...3M&usp=sharing
So at channel 6 i adjust idle rpm, from 820 I decrease them on 800
but I want to know what
    channel / value
    16 / 100
    17 / 300
    18 / 300
    19 / 0
    20 / 200
    21 / 200
    22 / 0 means?
    The module is
    Part No SW: 03G 906 021 KH HW: 03G 906 021 AN
    Component: R4 1,9L EDC G000SG 9245

I'm not sure but usually that means you cannot change them.

Sorry but why you've lowered idle rpms? Because of mpg? Did you check oil pressure at idle after this mod? PD engines are well known for their poor camshaft lubrication...

I lowered RPM because I fell that then engine is a little bit vibrating at factory value (840 rpm). So at 800 it is also a quieter. I did not lower it because of MPG. I did not measure oil pressure, I do not think that this little change will affect it, what you think? The problems with cams are because long life oil services and inadequate oil.
I see that you own same engine. My has 270tkm on clock and still counting with average consumption of 4,8 l/100 km in last 40000 km. What about you? Are you satisfied with it?

    Mine has 220k.
Returns 6.3 l/100km urban; about 4.7 l/100 km highway. Did you have sporadic vibration at idle? Mine wobbles a bit, I've replaced turbo, flywheel, camshaft+lifters, injector seals, cleaned EGR - and still have shaky idle...

Hmmm, maybe very rare sporadic idle, it is difficult to notice. What is your injection timing? I think to try diesel purge, although injection deviation is max 0,5 mg/str, but I have read that this resolve loud engine noise and gives steady idle.

Evo zemljo, šta ima, kako ti? Čim se baviš?

What do you want to say?

It is not 'exactly' easy to help, when another language is used.

I take you don't have a genuine VCDS cable? If you do then register it online VCDS Dongle Registration then you can join the Ross-Tech forum. Then you can ask this question on there with a full AutoScan.

If you don't have a genuine cable then you can't run the latest version. VCDS Release 15.7.3

I moved this thread to the Ross-Tech section as its related.

Which brings me to my point, EXACTLY.

Anyhow, when a option in VCDS says something the the effect of "undocumented channel" means just that. Changing values in VCDS can be dangerous. This is more so, if your changing unknown random values.

For example on the forum, someone messing around and changed their "max MPH limiter" to 60 and seee what it does.

Guess what, you can only change that number to a lower number and can't change it higher. It is a permanent change. It will require a reflash from dealership or replacement. Guess what, now he is driving under 60MPH.

No, I do not have genuine cable. This is because I do not have workshop, just sometimes explore my car. Anyway, for our country, the price is too high, maybe we can compare monthly revenue here and rest of word. But I hope one day I ll buy it. Sorry Rosstech team.
It seems I had luck. I change it, and nothing special happens. Also I check the values can roll back. So, maybe one day I fill find out what this changes. Maybe if some one has answer, then please write it /copy here. I can t register on rosstech site.

VW doesn't just put thing just because. That being said, you changed something, you just don't know the effect yet, and may forget when they do arise.

Rereading your post, are you asking if that portion that was unknown is now labled correctly in the newest build?

You have right. I am beginner. It was not smart to do so.

Maybe new version has describe it? I notice maybe better starting and lower fuel consumption, but it is hard to say. Maybe I need more time or more knowledge about this.

Alex, can you scan/write your values for this control module and channels?

Only way I could find it is to scan like module with newest version. Euro models are different. Look through your logs, maybe you saved the original value?
