New to me 2002 TDI Jetta has the most annoying loss of acceleration. Ran the car through scanner and didn't pull any codes. Happens pretty infrequently and doesn't persist for more than a few minutes. Anyone have any ideas? Or is it just due to an older car with 190k miles on it. It's a manual transmission too. Vacuum lines are the older black braided material. My first thought is to replace those. But right now the car is running great and it's 28' degrees out...colder than it's been all year.

Thanks for any and all information.

Crumbs if you struggle to work on a motor in 28 degrees cos it's cold then you should try it when it's only 4 degrees !!!!
