Hole in ALH tranny..fixable?

    01 vw jetta tdi 5speed

    my mk4 has dripping oil from between motor and tranny case.took out the tranny and found hole in tranny housing,i dont know it was there bc of the clutch mechanism or bc when i took it out i wiggle too much and hitting thw clutch...anyways do you think this fixable?
    Here pic,also there is rubbing mark on its right side

    You have bigger problems with the inside of your transmission. It looks like either your roll pin or diff bolt has let go and has cut a hole in your bellhousing

    You need to do a teardown and rebuild . It might be cheaper to source out a used 02J

    Looks like you have quite a few cracks as well.
