So I've been reading various threads and watching various videos on how to do the simplest thing- replace the lowbeam halogen bulbs on my 06 Jetta. The thing is the bulbs are apparently mounted differently than in this guide: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/wiki/headlight-bulb-replacement-mk5-hid-ds2-and-halogen/ My car has the same plastic caps you screw off but instead of that grey plastic hub that the bulb mounts in like Ive seen in most guides or vids, mine are apparently screwed in. The car was totaled long before I bought it and has a new front end. Is it possible this was a change with newer parts? I'm just wondering if this is something unique to just my car due to the previous accident or a well known setup of a slightly older or newer headlight setup. I'm just wanting to swap out bulbs since I have one out.
