Bob Lutz has a question and answer section in Road and Track magazine. In the latest issue, he said the Chevy Cruze turbodiesel was available with a manual transmission.

Since the current Cruze diesel is only available with the automatic transmission in the US and Canada, I'm assuming that it either was a mistake (which means both he and the editors missed it), he meant the European models, or that he's leaking something about the next Cruze diesel. The Cruze is available in Eco trim with a stick shift but that's a gas engine.

There were a few minor changes for model year 2015 including some minor color changes, OnStar 4G LTE, and the deletion of keyless entry/start on the Cruze diesel. The model year 2016 Cruze will be all new but specs aren't yet released. Did Mr. Lutz mean that the next one would be available with a stick shift?

Mericans don't drive stick? How could you check all your social media feeds and be bothered to be involved in driving? Just too much work to shift and be involved.
