A question about the litens tensioner

    Hi. Thanks to the great timing belt replacement write up i was able to do the job correctly, every things seems to be running great my only question is: while the engine is running is it normal for the litens tensioner to have a motion between the alignment tab and the tensioner body ? Its like a quick back and forth rattle. Thanks

    You mean the pointer moving a bit? That's normal as the tension alters due to compression etc. I think that's one of the reasons it's sprung loaded, to allow for that
