2.0 TDI Common rail compression pressure

Hi Everybody. I bought car with 2.0 TDI common rail system and now i want to know compression pressure in cylinders? My engine shows in all cylinders 20 bar. This is to low? Thanks

It could be a many things that can cause low compression. 20 bar is very low compression for tdi engine. If your compression tester is precise your engine is in vary bad condition. There are many reasons for that bad piston rings, warn cylinders, head gasket, cracked head or engine block and many other reasons.

I have 19 bar on 3 and 17 bar on 1 cylinder. The car starts really good despite the low compression rate. In the cold mornings I have a rough idle for 20 seconds after I start the car, and the car does a nose dive at 3000RPM in almost every gear. Should I look for another engine ? Thanks
