Hi - Hoping someone can give me some quick guidance. This seems to be a bit different than the DSG failure thread symptoms I've read about. I just came out of Costco this evening (after having replaces the read brake pads this afternoon.)

My Jetta started fine, I backed out of my spot and as I put the car into Drive, I heard a clunk, and the car would not move. Engine sounded fine, but it sounded like possibly a strange sound from the transmission, I'm guessing?

It's a 2006 TDI with DSG. I can shift into D or reverse - no movement upon acceleration. I ended up putting it in neutral and pushing it back into the parking spot.

Any guidance or suggestions? Not sure whether to take it to a transmission place, my nearby independent, or the VW TDI expert 1.5 hours away. Hoping this isn't a huge bill...

    Thanks.

    Edvins
