I have a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 1.9 L my EGR assembly the flap valve on the back messed up so now I unplugged the EGR and I find my car very hard on fuel I'm not sure if it be from the EGR assembly? My car has been hard to start when hot for a while now too I'm assuming my EGR cooler assembly was plugging up to, would it be Better to just delete or replace the cooler assembly and would it give me the hard fuel mileage because I am plugged the EGR? I am getting 600 km to a tank and I usually get between 850 to 900 km per tank any help would be appreciated thanks

I have 125 fault code relating to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR).

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.
